Connect my domain name

Connecting your own domain (e.g. maboutique.com) to your Winslor shop: DNS records, verification and lead times.

By default, your shop can be accessed at your-slug.winslor.com. Whatever your plan, you can connect your own domain name (e.g. myshop.com) — you purchase this from the registrar of your choice (~€10/year); Winslor does not charge anything extra.

Add your domain

  1. Go to Settings → Shop, under the ‘Custom domain’ section.
  2. Enter your domain name (e.g. maboutique.com or boutique.maboutique.com).
  3. Winslor shows you the exact DNS records you need to create with your registrar.

DNS records

Depending on whether you are connecting a root domain or a subdomain, the records differ:

  • Root domain (maboutique.com) — an A record pointing to 216.198.79.1.
  • Subdomain (shop.myshop.com) — a CNAME record pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com.

The interface displays the exact values along with a 'Copy' button. Enter them exactly as shown in the DNS section of your registrar’s control panel.

Verification and deadlines

Once the records have been created, Winslor automatically checks the configuration. The status changes from ‘DNS pending’ to ‘Verifying’ and then to ‘Verified’. DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your registrar. You can force a verification by clicking the ‘Re-verify’ button.

The HTTPS certificate (secure padlock) is installed automatically as soon as the DNS settings are correct. Once your domain has been verified, visitors will be redirected from the .winslor.com address to your domain — your links will remain valid.
