Starting my shop: a beginner’s guide

The first steps after signing up: set your password, configure your account details, connect Stripe and publish your first products.

Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a welcome email from Winslor. Here’s how to go from signing up to making your first sale.

1. Set your password

The welcome email contains a ‘Set my password’ link. This takes you to winslor.com/welcome, where you can choose your password and will be automatically logged in to your dashboard.

The link is valid for 7 days. After this time, use the ‘Forgotten password’ option on the login page to generate a new one.

2. The Start-up Wizard

When you log in for the first time, a four-step wizard will guide you through the process of setting up your shop:

  1. Welcome — a quick overview of what’s in store for you.
  2. Shop details — your business name, logo and contact details.
  3. Stripe integration — to process your payments (see the dedicated article).
  4. Custom domain name — included with every plan.

The wizard is optional: you can close it and come back to it later. A banner in your dashboard will remind you of the remaining steps until they are completed.

3. Publish your first product

Go to Catalogue → Products → ‘New product’. Enter the name and price, add photos, then change the status to ‘Active’ to make it visible. Full details can be found in ‘Add my first product’.
